Pulse is a MOD for Half-Life 1. Pulse takes place in Black Mesa after the incident. You are famous scientist Gordon Freeman. In the beginning of Pulse, you are in Surface Lab A Security Complex, a lab and security station on the absolute surface of the Black Mesa Research Facility. You are working with your scientist pals when one scientist working with a hazardous radiation meter detects high radiation amounts coming from all over. They radio into the Administrator's office, the office of Dr. Wallace Breen. Instead of Breen answering, they pick up a remote conversation between Breen and an unknown voice. "It's done," Breen said. "The xenian crystal triggered a dementional rift between Earth and the boarderworld Xen. Now let's get to the surface!" I'm having a problem with my new ATI video card and it is prohibiting me from continuing Mod development.

Hey, fellow ModDB members and guests!

I'm sad to report that another problem has arisen in my development of Pulse. I recently purchased a new ATI video card for $175, thinking that this was going to be a great piece of hardware for me and it would really aid in Mod development. It is a series 2400 I think. Anyway, for lack of a better term, it's a kick-ass video card and it's one of the best out there for AGP motherboards. So, I bought this card and figured that development would soar and I would be doing so much better. Little did I know, it would halt my development altogether and help me out little. Now, whenever I select an object in the camera view, it doesn't select it but instead provides me with an inconvienent error message saying that Valve Hammer Editor must exit because of a "fatal" error. I tried installing my previous video card again and Valve Hammer Edtior worked perfectly. So, until ATI comes out with new drivers that might work with Hammer, I'm stuck. However, I can try to borrow another kick-ass computer in my house. It's not mine, but maybe I can sneak a weekend's worth of development in on that computer.

So, currently, Pulse is at a halt. ATI hasn't been too good to me lately. But, I'll find a way to keep development steady.
