Project Vanshing Point takes place in a city that has been abandoned for the last 50 years. While different factions roam the outskirts and mountains a distress signal begins erupting from the tower at the center of the city. your mission is simple: travel through the abandoned city and figure out what is happening at the heart of the tower. We are trying to push source to it's limits to expect the requirements to be fairly high for a source based game.

OPTIMAL PERFORMANCE
Processor: AMD Phenom II X4 965 3,4ghz / Intel Core i5-750s 2,4ghz / Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770 3,2ghz or better
Memory: 6gb RAM or better
Graphics card: ATI radeon 5850 / Nvidia Geforce GTX 470 or better (1gb video memory + Crossfire/SLI setup recommended)
Resolution recommended: 1920x1080 or higher

64-bit Windows REQUIRED

RECOMMENDED
Processor: AMD athlon II x2 3,0ghz / Intel core 2 duo E7500 2,93ghz or better
Memory: 4gb RAM or better
Graphics card: ATI radeon 4850 / Nvidia Geforce GTS 250 or better (1gb video memory recommended)

These changes have been made to make the mod a better experience overall while keeping up the high quality of graphics. CPU minimum requirements may also change soon

Right now we are experimenting with streaming levels since the biggest complain every single playtester had was that it used too much time loading. The current build streams the whole demo as you play through it dynamically. The catch is that streaming of course requires more memory than just loading chunks of the level into memory and them n playing them. So expect the demo to only load when the mod opens and then you are able to play through the full thing without loading a single time after that :)

I ran a test on a core 2 duo 2,53ghz with a geforce 9800M GTS (gaming laptop) and it ran almost without a hitch with the current build.

Just make an Ultra-Powerful Server with a few Terabytes of XDR RAM
