Storyline:
You begin waking up on the couch in your sitting room, trying to remember what had happened the previous night. You find books all around you open on different pages, there are some papers that used to be on the bookshelf all around the table and a coffee mug or two on the mantelpiece beside the photographs of a girl. The only light in the room comes from an extremely bright sun coming in through the window, and a lamp that sits on top of an old piano in the corner of the room. Suddenly, you are haunted with images of the piano, and of a girl associated with you. She's always there in your dreams, nightmares and hallucinations, but no matter how hard you try and remember, you never know who the girl is.
The game takes place in your home, on an unknown street, in an unknown city. The player's only objective is to find out what happened to the girl, and to try and find an explanation for the nightmares and hallucinations you've been having.
Production Notes:
Initially this game was created as a narrative-style game; whereby the player would simply have to browse the game as he would listen to the storyline and find out what he would have to do further on. However we found that this method needed a bit more to it, and although we used the same browse-and-find style gameplay, we have allowed the player to find out the storyline all by himself.
We should also make a note that due to some of the sound effects we have used in the game, they have included "binaural waves" to enhance the player's experience. This means that the player should not go to drive or operate heavy machinery until at least half an hour after playing.

Hey guys!
I thought it would be about time for the first news update for Piano. Over the last week or so we have worked so much on this game and it's website, and today we have three pieces of eye candy for our viewers to look at and something to listen to.
First off, some general information about Piano for those who don't know yet

So far we've had a lot going on here working on Piano, and the mod is only starting to kick off but stay tuned for more as we will have a lot more gore, scares and Death to come!
Thanks,
Sythen.
Back when Half-Life 2 mods were the heart and soul of the Mod DB site.
Looking forward to playing this.
This mod is dead. I knew this would die as soon as I saw it. no ending is possible
guess u were right
You certainly are an optimistic person my friend. There was an entire script written for this game, and I still have the 20 pages of it including the ending in my filing cabinet. But I suppose you are right, this was definitely one of the simpler concepts I've had for a game - and if I do intend to finish it, like I do all the concepts and projects I create. It will certainly not be soon..
Apologies to everyone who had shown interest in this project, but I simply do not have the time to finish the project - at least not on my own.

well I just tested out some binaural wave stuff using some syn th software and... interesting that the pulse existed but they sounded bad. Mind if I ask how you got nice sounding waveforms at such low frequencies with tones spaced so close together? All I managed was abbrasive noise.
Hey there!
Firstly thank you taking intrest in a crutial element to my modification. Most binaural waves online have what's known as "pink" noise put into the background, this is simply a method of distraction from the waves, it's also what you may have heard that probably annoyed you ask you listened to it.
The funny thing about binaural waves is that no matter what volume you use them at, they usually have the same effect, what we do is we take out the pink noise, and place them at low volume in the track, till the point where they are nearly not noticeable, this makes sure that the player is being effected, but it does not hurt them, or distract them from the game play.
You'll find if you listen closely there are binaural waves placed in the music box track you may have listened too. You'll notice them when they fade off at the end.
Thanks for the question, hope I've helped with the answer!
