MP2 Mods FAQ

Feature

1) Exception in engineInit:X_SharedDB: Weapons "python" and "python" had same ID or Exception in engineInit:X_SharedDB: Weapons "Empty" and "Empty" had same ID (etc.)

Be sure that your max payne 2 have no "data" folder. With data-folder mods just work incorrect or doesn't work at all.

List of propper ras-files before mod installing

MP2_Data.ras
MP2_Init.ras
MP2_Levels_A.ras
MP2_Levels_B.ras
MP2_Levels_C.ras
MP2_Music.ras
MP2_Sounds.ras
MP2_*your language name*.ras

If you game have another ras-files or data-folder, just try to install original english-version of game (english steam-version works pretty good)

2) Failed to peel mipmaps from DDS image:"DDS doesn't have full mipmap pyramid"

Just set all graphic-options to maximum.

3) Exception in engineInit:HUDMode: Following subtitles are too wide (screen space limit 380)

Looks like your game doesn't have official patch. You can download it here.

4) Exception: Couldn't find jumppoint "::world01::jumppoint_00:: in ldb of level "wz01" (etc.)

Play with parametrs " -developer -developerkeys"

this mod is allot like the one im working on only allot worse *joking* could you pleas fix that max payne model make the hair on his ears go away and maybe broaden his chin slightly then hes fixed also would you mind i take some elements of this like the shadows for ragdolls and stuff il credit

The mod description claims that the weapon models have been replaced with detailed ones, but remain the same weapons.
This is absolutely wrong.

This mod replaces the H&K HK94A3 with a MP5 Navy, the Remington SBS with everything but sure as hell not a Remington SBS, the Steyr SSG-69 PII with a Remington M24, the Desert Eagle Mk XIX with a Deset Eagle that - even though it states to be a .50 AE - has a 8 rounds magazine, the Remington 870P with something that appears to be a Mossberg M500, the Romanian PSL with a SVD Dragunov (how can one just mistake these?), the Norinco Type 56 with something that appears to be an AKM or AK-74, the .45 ACP Ingram MAC-10 with a 9x19mm Ingram MAC-10 and for whatever reason, I have found a Steyr Scout within the files.
