Long ago, when the word 'Hiigara' rang only as a hollow dream, the kiith of Kharak never imagined they would walk the Path to Victory. But, when they reclaimed their Homeworld and proclaimed themselves 'Hiigaran', they believed they had reached their goal. How wrong they were. 150 years after Hiigaran landfall, conflict rages across the Galaxy... Path to Victory is a multiplayer and skirmish mod for Homeworld 2 that adds new units to both Vaygr and Hiigaran Races as well as enabling the Keepers, Raiders and Kadeshi as playable races.

I'm really not understanding a lot of this("For balance reasons, repairing capital ships is however, still not possible without an ally")... You think yo might have some time to make a readme soon?

Well, the keepers don't have a repair vessel. The only way to repair damaged capital ships as the keepers is to get an ally to repair them for you.

Readme is on the way and will be out shortly before the beta release. However that will be some time from now I suppose.

How many of these things can you build? A dozen for quick drone repairs, or only a couple for frigate repairs?

Also, ship inside another ship? How'd you do that - no collision mesh?

The top and bottom part always move together and/or are connect by force fields?

Have you tried it sideways? I bet it would cool too...could you please try it? Please? Just once? For me? Please?

You can build three. As for the arms, they are held together by aether :P sideways? Can give that a try...

+10 awesomeness if you make the arms rotate in a circle (like the giant HS inhibitor in HW1). That would be done with all the ship information tied to an invisible center ship, and the arms would rotate around that center ship with an animation.

Basically its for piecing your frigates back together in the unlikely event of damage.

Frigates and drones, yes. Doesn't do anything else except sit around and look cool :D

Edit: p.s. they will take more damage in the beta than before - balance, you know

Maybe this would work in conjunction with the Dreadnaught's Phased Cannon Array – docking it into the Dreadnaught's form could let a series of generators link in, for a Super Sunshine Emitter boost. And so, with the power of a thousand hyperspacing unicorns, the Dreadnaught could create an entity out of its Phased Cannon blast that is extrapolated into a Super Sunshine Quantum Waveform (they love yellow, right?) held open by intense energy of the Progenitor power systems. Using the Amun Construct, the Dreadnaught could create a stable hyperspace window that could deploy a player's entire Keeper fleet to battle in a relatively cheap (considering the normal cost of hyperspacing so many units while keeping them powered) hyperspace jump.
Also, it might be cool if it could deploy somewhat unethical methods of enemy torture by firing the Neural Data Transmitter into the hyperspace window, forcing all organic entities to endure the Satanic Children's Show runtime. In short, torture the enemy with Vivá Piñata.

Description

I'm off on holiday for the next four days with my better half - but I somehow managed to find time to make something 'new' for you guys. Well, okay, it isn't wonderfully impressive but it adds a key aspect to the Keepers that they were missing before.

With the changes to the Keeper gameplay, one thing you will notice is that your ships take a lot more damage now. Sure, they self-repair but often you'll find yourself with a bunch of ships that you really - really - need to bring back up to full health.

Now, the Keeper Construct fills that role. Capable of docking Drones and Autonoms for emergency repairs, this ancient floating piece of junk can be compared with a Keeper Pitstop. Just don't try and fly the thing around. It's slow as molasses but it can be hyperspaced around.

Combined with a few Sentinels to provide rudimentary security, the Construct can form a very useful support base. Adding a few generators scattered around it will help your ships repair even faster - getting them back in the fight as soon as possible.

For balance reasons, repairing capital ships is however, still not possible without an ally.
