The game takes place in the eve of the Seven Hour War. Fighting against blood shedding synths and frightening aliens, Adrian Shephard has to struggle his way with his fellow comrades from the Phoenix Command, with the main objective of stopping the construction of a Combine Citadel. In his journey he will find what has happened to the world, moments before the Seven Hour War.
this one looked cool too, but we're not gonna keep this color correction, it makes it very confusing to see the sniper laser!
Really? I kind of like the color correction in this screenshot :|
Confusing to see the sniper laser? The laser is blue! there's nothing else blue on the screen, how is it confusing?? :S
Maybe he is colorblind?
i'm just saying it contrasts better on a warmer environment. and no, i'm not colorblind.
I tough that it has to be smokey or foggy to be able to see the laser's beam.
Maybe he's colorblind?
Yeah I liked this comment so suck my Obama haters!
Maybe increase the blues a bit? Also I hope the animations are custom and not zoidberg's
they're obviously custom, why in the world would we steal an animation set? anyways, it's a bit warmer instead of blue-ish. sort of a desolate orange-ish feel that contrasts with the sniper laser's blue.
most ppl use zoids as place holder anims most of the time and the idle is similar which is what made it confusing. Id love to see the custom amins tho :)
A TON of people use zoid's anims. I can't stand them. As an animator, I die a little inside every time I see a mod use them. So thank you so much for not using zoid's anims. And yeah the idle looks a bit like zoid's.
Zoidburgs were cool the first time, but after seeing them so much it will be really nice to see their anims
damn these two pics are fine examples of mapping. thank you for the eye-gasm :D
Nice! Keep up the good work! I hope a can see of2 this summer ;)
The lighting effects on the right side of the pic are stellar. Looks fantastic!
Should have made it like the "box room" warehouse in Indiana Jones.
Very nice!
u spelled armor wrong tee hee. he american no U in armor! looks
nice tho
Hud by Kave?
it's by our coder. am i missing something here? why do people think we'd get content from somebody else? is it becoming a fad between mod developers?
Because there's thousands of HL2 replacement huds out there, obviously some would end up looking alike, and people don't remember what they look like exactly, they have a faint, blurry image in their head, and yours fits it, so they go "Ah, you stole it!'
Happens all the time.
Nicolas also goes by the name Kave, so yes the hud is made by him. btw, I'm the lead coder of the mod.
Nice... I wish i could map like you... but i screwed something up bad in the SDK so it's all 3D view and i don't understand a thing anymore...
Press Z
Why isn't the attack cursor green?
because we're coding an entirely new crosshair!
Hmm, I get the "New Valve games" feeling from this, since everything is so "clean" á la Portal 2 and L4D. Nothing bad with that, makes it feel like a standalone game rather than a mod.
MenteR, i have to make a few questions regarding about your mod:
- Will the mod rescue the Half-Life feeling that has been abandoned in the second installement (*cough* HL2 *cough*)? I mean, a great variety of puzzles as well challenging enemies. Challenging i mean enemies that require your skills in both senses, something that HL2 and it's episodic sequels regretfully lacked in terms of difficulty.
- How long it will take to beat this mod (i'm not asking for a 20 hour experience, nothing in this world is perfect.)
- Judging by the screenshots, i believe that we gonna meet a few known foes like the Synth Gunship & Strider, for example, if i recall correctly. If so, are you guys considering to improve the existing dumbed-down NPCs included in the vanilla HL2. I don't want to fight a three-legged bug that just keep "stichting" along me when it's supposed to direclty hit you with deadly accuracy, for example (the same goes for the Gunship).
Ребята! Вы делаете супер мод! удачи вам!
