Old Republic mod for Forces of Corruption. Exactly as it says on the tin.
First one to scream venator gets downvoted.
Starwars.wikia.com(Venator-style)
This is my rendition of the Mandorian warship that hunted down and destroyed the Courageous during the Battle of Serroco. This will be the strongest battleship in the mod, armed with turbolasers and mass drivers. Still thinking about adding missiles to that mix, as the Kandosii is already armed with 5 super heavy concussin missile launchers, I want to switch up the armerment a bit on this vessel.
Going to be fun to skin, but I think it'll look pretty cool once done. Ofcourse the turrets will be rotating.
Model by me.
-Geroenimo
Looks very cool ! And how many squadrons of fighters ?
Geroenimo could you get us some HQ map editor screenshots or something? :D
especially of the kandosii, that model is beast.
but this one might surpass it, interesting take on the venator!
actually this is a "canon" ship, appeared in one comic and is unnamed, but it is a mandalorian ship. Starwars.wikia.com
It says that in the description already ;)
Not that I don't like the design of the ship or the outstanding and perfect model but a Venator-shaped Mandalorian ship in the Knights of the Old Republic-era with an almost identical bridge... And those are only the facts of it. I mean, seriously? Mandalorian shaped ships are like the Kandosii, the Jehavey'ir or the Kyramud. I mean, did they ran out of ideas? The ship would fit into the Clone Wars or Imperial era but not into the era of the Old Republic. But that's just my humble opinion. They should have sticked their design to the KotOR ships. The model itself is really great and has a nice touch of details. Great work!
You know that all those other Mandalorian ships were just stolen from other races that the Mandolorians conquered. And also the bridge is just Geroenimo's interpretation of it.
Sure, many of those designs were stolen but not all of them. And even if all of them were stolen I suppose that Mandalorians modify them and adapt them to their needs. However, it's a great design of a ship but the overall "Hey, lets put a Venator some thousand years into the past"-idea is just not my taste.
hmm...i agree with this
I'm very glad someone has put this up, so that I can explain this very thing a little.
It is true that it looks like a venator and my own thought process while making the model was intentionally to make a larger venator design. I like Imperial ships very much and in this I saw the perfect oppertunity to combine 3 ship models I made, these 3 in particular:
Moddb.com
Moddb.com
Moddb.com
All 3 models have been used in this one, to create a clone wars looking design of a larger venator battlecruiser. Personally I'm sometimes dying to make some imperial units (star destroyers ect.) and put them into a mod, but I have an old republic mod so that doesn't fit. In this I saw a canon way to combine some of my best models into one canon ship. That is the reasoning behind this ship, it's my guilty pleasure.
Lol greed and lust xD but i see your point and it makes sense. Oh well ill just group a bunch of thrantas together and blow it up.
Seeing as those have quite the number of missile launchers that'll do nicely. ;)
Yeah I'm loving imperial ship designs too. They're just awesome, be it the Pellaeon-class or the incredible Secutor-class. They share and spread this corporate identity of being awesome.
Maybe I had just other expectations, something more "grim", "archaic" or "war torn". It just seems like a brand new supership in comparison to the others, like putting a Gerald-R.-Ford-class aircraft carrier into the time of the First World War. Nonetheless it's a great looking ship.
By the way, I find your way to mix up great designs very interesting and it's a fantastic way not only to make cool looking models but also to make it some kind of semi-canon.
I just deal with it the way kyle_katarn67 said. In my case these are not Thrantas but some nice Sith warships engaging.
Hmm it's a bit late to ask
and since you'll probably go all "it's my mod!11" on me,
i really really really think it should have a single bridge, it would look better imo and more like a predecessor of the venator. Now it looks like you dropped part of an ISd and part of a venator on a different chassis.
That was exactly what I was going for, so I guess you could say it worked out pretty well.
I just thought those elements stood out like a sore thumb.
maybe adjust some small things, i mean the rest of the ship is superb.
Feel free to edit the model once the mod is released.
I'd like to try :D
But im no good in modeling yet
Must....resist....can't take it anymore...VENATOR
*explodes from incoming downvotes*
Incredibly beautiful model and seeing how the Venator is my favourite ship in the star wars universe I can't wait to unleash hell with this beast of destruction and domination.
Damn that looks even more badass than I thought it would. I'm really glad that I mentioned it to you.
Yeah it gave me an excuse to use some of my old imperial designs to make a venator looking ship (which I like) and put it in an old republic mod ;)
Hey I got something else, it is a mandalorian carrier. There is no image, but the design I believe is canon.
Starwars.wikia.com
polycount?
Without reductions 17K
And one more idea for you. This is a mandalorian fast attack gunship meant to destroy capital ships.
Starwars.wikia.com
Also out of curiosity, how big is this battleship going to be in comparison to a Kandosii or Harrower?
bigger, not sure about the exact size yet.
Now I think this is my last one. I found the ship Mandalore the Vindicated used. It is classed as a dreadnaught.

I hop I am helping and not just annoying you Geroenimo, I just really like your mod and the Mandalorians.
It looks great, but I have to agree with _excision_ on the single bridge idea.
Looks good, but your tail might be a little too long
