The glow looks awesome, but it really paints the tank as a target.. Might it be possible to make it change the coil texture when the gun charges/shoots and cool down? Or maybe just sort of an armed script to get the guns online that also activates the glow texture? (Been working w/Arma2, don't know how much of this would be possible in Ofp)
You're right. It could give away the tank's position.
I don't think it'd be possible to "charge" up efficiently.
That's the problem.Setobjecttexture could be used to switch
textures and create a fake animation.
That would come with it's own set of irritations.
But I'll investigate it.
Once it fires though, the giant ball of glowing blue plasma gives the game away. Then there's the engine noise.
:)
I dont think that this monster is meant to be hidden from enemy :P It is big *** Super Heavy Tank for assault purposes and i hope so that it will serve as in this role well.
