Normandy '44: European Theater combines a higher level of realism with a more elaborate doctrine system, which incorporates almost 50 different military units that took part in the period of Jun-Sept 1944. This spectrum ranges from divisions of free Polish and French units serving under the main allied armies to volunteers from the Eastern Front that served in the German Wehrmacht. This is only a small portion of the doctrine variety however, as we feature numerous well known units of all factions as well. The mod also features numerous new abilities and custom made units each with a completely revamped size and structure. Between custom made units and structures with historically correct skins, Normandy '44 offers over 150 NEW UNITS, making for an almost endless variety of different scenarios and unit actions. Combined these factors provide for an experience unlike any other mod for CoH!

Yes, it is. This is mainly because if you have three men on an Anti Tank gun it is...well rather useless.

Mainly because after two men are KIA the third simply commits suicide and you're left with a useless hunk of junk.

Let's be frank here, compare the squad sizes of basic Rifle units and the like. Now imagine those units running at an Anti-Tank gun with three men manning it. Yeah, Slaughter I know.

The rest of the men ARE considered operators of the weapon, but are mainly for personal protection of the gun itself.

its because u need 3-4 Men to operate the gun and 2 or 3 to handle the ammo

Hardly, we're actually one short, the PaK 40 was crewed by eight men. A commander, a gunner, a range finder, two loaders and three ammunition bearers. This many men were necessary for the basic function of the gun as well as to maneuver it on the field, it weighed over 3,000 LBS! In N'44, and most other COH mods, the range finder, gun commander and loaders duties are only performed by two men, leaving the rest of the crew simply to replace the gunners as they are killed off. The size of the formation is still preserved however to represent the amount of men it actually took to man this beast of a weapon system, as well as help give it some anti-personnel defense with small arms as actual crews

Description

The 7.5 cm PaK 40 (7.5 cm Panzerabwehrkanone 40) was a German 7.5 centimetre anti-tank gun developed in 1939-1941 by Rheinmetall. The PaK 40 formed the backbone of german anti-tank guns for the latter part of the war and saw service in numerous variations. This is a brand new model with custom animation which will be featured in v2.0. A unit designated as the PaK 40 was in v1.7 but did not have a proper model. It is available for most Axis doctrines in V2.0.
