Normandy '44: European Theater combines a higher level of realism with a more elaborate doctrine system, which incorporates almost 50 different military units that took part in the period of Jun-Sept 1944. This spectrum ranges from divisions of free Polish and French units serving under the main allied armies to volunteers from the Eastern Front that served in the German Wehrmacht. This is only a small portion of the doctrine variety however, as we feature numerous well known units of all factions as well. The mod also features numerous new abilities and custom made units each with a completely revamped size and structure. Between custom made units and structures with historically correct skins, Normandy '44 offers over 150 NEW UNITS, making for an almost endless variety of different scenarios and unit actions. Combined these factors provide for an experience unlike any other mod for CoH!
A preview of the new Infantry skins that are being made.
In the picture you're seeing a Heer Panzergrenadier.
Again, it's WiP.
wow it's so ... i have no words to say how much it's GREAT
Ah wow, looks great, keep up the great job!!
nice :D
looks even better than what i was hoping for! this will be for 21, 2, and 116. Panzer? or will this incorporate Lehr as well?
21. and 116. , the Lehr had a very unique look to their Panzergrenadiers, namely that they used Panzercrew jackets instead of the normal Feldbluses and parkas.
And the 2nd Pz Div
yea, i know, that's why i asked. i just wasn't sure because the mod also emphasizes the battle of the bulge and even Lehr would've worn cold weather jackets then.
awesome work by thevway, it's really appreciated!!
Yis. Zupa is the master of uniforms.
This mod doesn't emphasize on the Battle of the Bulge, not sure where you got that from. This mod focuses on Normandy primarily. Ignore the banner on the top right that says 1944-45, we only added the 45 part because of the Soviets. :V
i got that because some of the divisions (9.ss) refer to the battle of the bulge in their descriptions.
Oh. Lol. Well BotB is not in the game, it focuses on Normandy, no idea why or how that got in there. Probably just a little trivia, haha.
Haha yea, I was kind of surprised when I read it. I think 9ss has the ability to be helped by hetzers from 343(?) volksgrenadier, division in BotB and the 16. LFD is set up as they were during BotB. I think there's one or two more but I'll have to check. Anyway, I like Lehr having their own uniform.
Oh well we're gonna change most of the doctrines anyway so that'll be fixed to be historically accurate for Normandy.
Yeah; I find Ken's logic is all over. Some are Normandy, some are from Market Garden and some are from BotB. I don't intend to redoing the list of included doctrines now, but the structure and abilities will certainly be redone.
On one hand it's interesting and on the other doesnt make sense. But then again a lot of the Normandy unnits took part in BotB. 352. infanterie was just renamed to volksgrenadier i tjink.
