Hello people!
So I don't really care about this game anymore, but decided to try fix the error, because it's bugging me that I spent alot of time in this mod and now people can't play it (if anyone's still interested) ._.
Sooo, I believe I have found the cause of the error. Apparently the Mansion_2.map does not even exist.
You read right. I checked the level editor to maybe find the cause of the error, opened Mansion_2.map, and hooray, the level does not even exist. What really bugs me though, is that the HPS and Map files to that level are still in the /maps folder and seem alright. But clearly the error states ''COULD NOT LOAD WORLD FILE'' so it doesn't find the level or smth.
Tried to find solutions for few hours, but no luck.
I'm wondering if I should just yolo it and make the game go from map1 -> map3 (skip the entire level), or continue trying to fix the error. Or perhaps build a new level...
Aaaargh
I'm sorry I've not kept the mod alive and worked on the error. I will try my best to solve it, but seems pretty tough.
If anyone has idea what to do, please do inform me!

Your mansion_2 map file that was uploaded is corrupt. If you have another copy lying around such as from an older version, upload that, otherwise it is pretty much unsalvageable.

I get a fatal error message every time I try to enter section two of the mansion.
Well...game crashes. He can't load "Mansion.2" map.
I got this same error :(

overally, it's very nice :) atmosphere and mapping is lovely, there are many monster encounters, so it's not boring, there were many types of puzzles also. some of the maps lagged for me, and it's not really common for me in amnesia maps, maybe you could have cut those into two halfs or whatever. also it's good that you handled everything with original amnesia stuff, but it would be good to see some custom entities in your maps, and monsters without the alert musics are much better, you can accidentally run into them easily. the story didn't get me so much, also the ending was really weird, it didn't make sense. i definitely want to play more custom stories from you, i didn't notice any bugs except some minor texture glitches, let's concentrate a bit on the mentioned points, 8/10, good job by the way ^^
I get this error whenever I try to enter Mansion-Section Two:
FATAL ERROR: Could not load world file 'custom_stories/Ninth of October - Continuation/Maps/C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/steamapps/common/amnesia the dark descent/custom_stories/His dearest friend/Maps/Mansion_2.map'
Is this because I don't have Amnesia for Steam? Because it seems to be trying to access that.
I also get this same error when I try to enter Section Two.
