Hello horror fans,
We welcome you to our new modification which will be much more than standard Nightmare House 2 played in Coop.
So here is the deal: We have permission from “We create Stuff” we started creating the official Coop modification two weeks ago. As you saw it’s playable and functional right now. We posted some screenshots to show some real ingame footage. But its a long way from finished.
So why don’t you release in 2 weeks then?
Well, good point, but that isn’t what we are supposed to achieve with this mod. Have you played any horror Multiplayer game of the last few years? Without doubt some are really good, like Left4Dead, but seriously for a moment, have you ever felt the real horror in a MP session? Talking in Skype and covering each other’s
backs at any time results in no horror at all. But we think that we have the right ideas to change that, so you can cry some moar.
This is not modding, this is converting??!
No, sorry you are not right about that. Converting is only step one, but adding features and
something that we can’t tell you right now is the second. Placing new spawn points and building a MP client is not what this is all about.

Yes it's dead.
With regret this mod is archived. Coop code is done, however with lack of decent source mappers to undertake the project we had to can. I had some great new scares, but i guess i will have to use those in DvH now.
Can you give us what you've made up to this point? The co-op code or anything?
I could do if you really want to, but I'd advise against the Source engine, its buggy as heck and its twice as much work for half the effort of modern engines such as Unity or Unreal.
i know its kinda late, but i would want to get it too.
I'd really rather not try to remake Nightmare House 2 in Unity or Unreal. But I'd just want to try out a glitchy co-op with my friend, and maybe try and fix it up a little.
I agree, the latest buggy version of something is always interesting to have a look at
