Napoleonic Era is a renowned, fan-made modification for Age of Empires 3 and its expansions The Warchiefs and The Asian Dynasties. The mod intends to accurately illustrate the time from 1555-1815 by greatly expanding and reworking the game with new units, buildings, maps, sounds, music and civilizations. The mod has been founded in January 2006 by Alexander Fleger and is being continued by Peter Piepenburg since February 2010. It is still one of the most anticipated mods for Age of Empires III in the whole world.
In the upcoming NE 2.1.7 the Germans' Reichstag will offer 6 "banner armies" from historically relevant states from within the Holy Roman Empire, containing units that can regularly not be built by Germans, among them of course also German natives and mercenaries. New German HC cards and politicians cover content from further historical German states such as Franconia, Mecklenburg or Brandenburg.
This new "Reichsarmee" system can be used to build large powerful armies or to just complement the regular German troops. It's really all up to you and your choices.
