Modern Age mod brings Victoria 2 into the Modern World. On November 9, 1989, The Berlin Wall fell and Germany was finally reunited. A wave of democratization swept through Eastern Europe, and on December 26, 1991, the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics was extinguished and, from its ashes, a number of countries were born. These major events in human history define what we call as the Modern Era and a New World Order is rising with the United States at the forefront. How will you lead your nation to glory? Will you try to re-establish communism, or will you extinguish it once and for all, spreading democracy to the far corners of the world?
As announced in June 2021, the Modern Age Mod 2.2 will introduce the game's third bookmark which is to be set 15 years after the "Dawn of the New Millennium" scenario. The official name of the new bookmark is "Gathering Storm". Today, a pre-release file containing the bookmark has been made available to the public to check and review the new bookmark. However there are some inaccuracies with the territories still present such as Crimea still in Ukraine when it was annexed in 2014 or there is no ISIS while it began to rise in 2013 and peaked in 2014.
With all due explanation about my unfortunate absence from ModDB (because of school mostly) I will try to focus on this 2.2 update mod again but I only have one month of break left so, it will still be partially finished. Under these circumstances the 2.2 update will likely come out in 2023 so don't expect anything during the next spring this year.
Pre-Alpha fixed after 6 month hiatus! Development for the 2.2 update to continue.
Currently I won't be having a easy year so probably around mid-2023 the mod will come out as a whole. The so called Modern Age mod in Victoria 2 isn't...
The update is not ready! There is no contribution or help!
Modern Age Mod 2.2's next phase of the update might begin focusing on territorial changes around the world and we need your help to build this bookmark!

Currently in pre-alpha stage development. The Modern Age Mod 2.2 update will be a major overhaul in the mod once it is fully completed.
Do not consider this as a full version as a lot more work is to be done! Currently there is a issue with the GUI screen so unless there is a solution...

Bro, the 2.2 (pre-alpha 2) isn't working. It gets stuck on the loading screen and I even have to restart my PC because everything freezes. I hope you can fix it whenever you can

jacobin rebelds...
Is there a mod that removes spheres of influences? Would like to play as a secondary or civilized without a pre determined world.

It's impossible to play because of the broken economy
We are still looking for someone who could fix it. If not for 2.2 then maybe it will for 2.3. Who knows what could come!

I thought of a idea of tuning the population to a more vanilla amount. Mabey ad a value so each population is represented as 5 or something in the numbers but not mechanics.
