A Titanfall-inspired mod that adds enhanced mobility to Half-Life 2.
Mobility Mod is really fun imo, it gives this pleasant feeling of speed and freedom of movement, it's really satisfying to see how the enemy AI reacts to you speeding from one spot to the other, flying over their heads, etc.
But all it needs is melee/quick crowbar swing, since still having to stop and change weapons for a crowbar is really breaking the pacing, even more than it already used to in the base game. And maybe active slow-mo/bullet time ability would be a neat addition, allowing to perform cooler tricks.
Other than that it's really nice and refreshing way of replaying Half-Life 2.
Added mobility and speed picks up the pace for a lot of the slower segments of Half-Life 2 and the new features - such as a button to throw grenades, rather than having to equip them first every time - are really welcome. Using the advanced movement is really fun, when the maps allow you to take advantage of it.
However, thats my main issue with the mod as of right now. Half-Life 2 was never designed with such speed and mobility in mind and therefor you can really tell how the design of the maps and enemies clashes with what this mod is trying to do (as of version 1.0). The custom maps do give you the necessery room to use your new abilities to their fullest, however the regular HL2 levels remain untouched.
Your weapon damage as well as enemies health and damage values have been adjusted, however they're still as slow as they were in vanilla HL2 and could use an updated moveset as well. At the very minimum Combine Soldiers/Elites should move faster and use more aggressive tactics.

+New features (seperate grenade button, updated/improved vehicle mechanics) are welcome additions
-Vanilla Half-Life 2 maps weren't ment for this type of gameplay and could use some editing to accommodate it better
-NPCs stats were changed but the change isn't big enough to provide a real challenge for the added advantage you gain through your high speed, wallrunning, double jumping and sliding
Mobility Mod is a great idea for fans of parkour giving them the ability to double-jump, wall-run, wall-climb and a few more things. The only place I found this very useful was skipping the dam at Canals and skipping major parts of Ravenholm. Here's an idea: Try adding like some rooftop maps in where you get to fully use your powers of movement.
It's hard to explain how bad-*** this mod is. It just adds such a cool layer to half-life 2's gameplay, It makes it feel so much more alive. I'm replaying all of hl2 with this addon and while it may not have been made for it, it certainly works incredibly well. It feels fast paced, and I love the additions made to the airboat. Overall it makes hl2's gameplay infinitely more interesting by really adding a layer of skill to it. Bravo

Omg, I love titanfall and I love half life. This movement mod makes half life 40% better. Love it.
The novelty of the parkour is kinda lost in the original campaign but it's still fun as hell to mess around with it.
