This mod intends to add various weapons from all around the globe to Misery mod, weapons of every stalker's dream. Suggestions, Feedbacks and points of view are very welcomed !
Have fun with these new toys !
At this point, everyone is trying to include pip scopes into their mods, forcing fans to use that feature whether they asked for it or not. I am aware that not everybody is a fan of zoom based shader "pip scopes", some dislike it, some pray for it, while others react with a meh, I personally don't like them, and would always go for either 2D scope or nomal 3D, and since I'm working on a full gun mod that has lots of scopes and guns, I don't want to spend so much time on a feature that is not liked by all STALKER fans, so here is how things go:
TAZ 3.0 will use standard 3D scopes like shown in some videos for optics like Acog, Hamr, Susat, Elcan, etc, while using 2D scopes for long range optics, sniper rifles mostly, M24, L96, etc.
Pip scopes feature will be in TAZ, but not fully implemented, it will be an optional installation for those who want it. Initially, I wanted to do the optional pip for snipers only, not all guns, but Alex "The DJ" is so happy we got the feature running he wants to do a full implementation, I gave him the needed info and he has already made some tests with PSO and 1P29, I'm sure he can do all scopes perfectly.
Pictures above are what I came up with today, two nice images for 1P29 and PSO, personal work :D 2D scopes for the classic and hardcore fans. I'll surely make more with time. These 2Ds were made using the ingame model, you see what you attach, a PSO and 1P29 without eyecup. A video will be uploaded some day showcasing these two scopes equipped on a nice gun we've been working on hard.
Well, i think pip scopes are better, but not beacause they looks better, but because the peripheral zoom around the scope breaks the immersion for me, and yes, Escape from Tarkov has a lot of guilt on that D:
Anyway, the default 3d scopes that you are showing on this image are very sexy too
Thanks for giving the players options for other scopes, pip scopes definitely have a strong allure, but I am not sure I'd use pip over these ones if the quality for all of them are on this level.
Quality of 2D scopes will be roughly at the same level of these, nothing less. I'm making them myself, not using any addons, so I'll be sure to use the same method :)
If anything an option to have the outside of the scope be blacked out, and it just be the reticle would be nice. The whole screen zooming in, while tolerable, is jarring no matter how many times I see it.
It's just such a shocking contrast.. High quality weapon models and animations mixed with a static scope overlay that isn't effected my lighting? It doesn't mesh well. I think people don't like 3D scopes in Stalker because they're not used to them. It has never been the norm for Stalker in the past. Looking toward the future though, we can't hang onto 2d scopes forever. Imagine if games like Metro Exodus or Tarkov had 2D scopes, the immersion would really suffer.

Here's an example of pip scopes in TAZ: Media.moddb.com

Yeah they're nice, but not many like them, and I'm definitely not forcing people to use them.
Sexy scopes, great work!

i like that its an option.
Same, can't stand PiP scopes personally, not to mention the fps drops.
The scopes looks amazing,I love it

Anomaly had a nice feature, blurred outside of the scope, you need to be on dx10 or 12 for that feature to work, it's far better than blacked out.
For me.......2D scopes 200% =)
This way its much easier for the player to tweak them as well. I have a personal favorate that I switch into all my mods.
Thanks for considering us 2D fans!
