CNC4 style Ion cannon is always nice. saves being blinded to death by an overexadurated ion strike
But yeah its defiantly that CnC4 forget the giant wait and bubble thing Ion Cannon save for the ambient Ionic activity after the strike. seen here Youtube.com

ion cannon is totally destructive no survivor are left to use the emp effect on them how ever its damage radius is reduced a little

In fact. This Ion cannon seems about as fast firing as a Zone Captains Ion cannon in CNC4 but with the full ion cannon size and bang.
but...Zone Capitans in CNC4 suck.. rest unit too :)
Zone Captains big nerf is that he cost too many command points to train. Otherwise he would be a beast on the field inside of an armadillo apc.

Would it be possible to make the wave/ripple effect slightly longer, but only very slightly. Is reallly awesome though, so excited for it!!!! =D
Also, I must say this is much better to the bubble effect, especially the mini ion lightning as an after effect. Will this be actually beneficial, or purely decorative? Maybe make it less strong than in earlier games, and have it create a mini ion storm? No idea about making/balancing games, just an idea =P
no it is just decorative just as the vacume effect
