Is there any reason at all to use the SFS 7.2s over the SFS 9.3s? The 9s seem to improve on literally everything. Rate of Fire, energy use per shot, range, damage outputs, so is the 7.2 only there as a cheaper option? Or is there some benefit I'm not seeing?

I've got a mix of 7.2s and 9.3s on my Imp Gozanti and I'm starting to wonder if the 7.2s are a complete waste of time. I have 4 7.2s on the 2 back turrets for missile defense only but what am I doing that for? The 9.3 has a higher RoF and longer range at a lower energy consumption, it would do better intercepting a missile, right?

Literally the only downside I can see for the 9.3 vs the 7.2 is the price tag, and if you're persistent enough that doesn't matter.

I'm pretty sure I remember that the 7.2's have a faster projectile speed by nearly double, so they are better at hitting faster moving objects but thats about it iirc
