The 'Middle Earth Roleplaying Project' aims to recreate J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth in the Creation engine of 'Skyrim'. The player will be plunged into Middle Earth near the end of the Third Age, not long before the War of the Ring breaks out.

Is that a spear?
No I'm pretty sure it's a fish :/
I'm confident I can beat you at Pictionary
?? :P
*Challenge accepted* Anytime, anywhere!!
Will be the destroyable weapons system from Oblivion reintroduced?
I really, REALLY hope they dont. Weapons breaking were always a pain in the ***...
we may add it as a realism mode option. Weapons outright breaking is kinda silly though :P
And yes, it is a spear. Eowyn's spear, which will also function as the officer's spear for people like Eomer, Erkenbrand, etc.
I think it would be a cool idea for weapons to loose their improved sharpness, like an enchanted weapon looses it's power. So when you use a grindstone to upgrade your sword to legendary, it slowly degrades through until it's just the base weapon again. That way you don't get harshly penalized for not repairing... That is if you keep the crafting system form Skyrim.
Probably not breakable, but we may let specific weapons slowly become dull. We're not going to force you to carry around 30 repair hammers though.
Well Done Guys!
Awesome! That thing will be DEVASTATING to any orc it meets!
will there be new finishers and killing animations with the spears?
is it even possible to implent such? Oo
I think it should be. It is now possible to implement totally original animations now, so it should be possible.
Epic!
FYI spears should never be carried with their points downward like that, it dulls the tip-point and tangles with clothing and the environment. Might want to change it, for technicality purposes of course.
Yes, but it may be hard cause im pretty sure they modeled it after the staff. Which is what they did in the Oblivion version atleast. Haha i'm not tryin to be 'that guy' just sayin. Good point though and if they can implement it I think it would be a good idea! :)
We will change how it is stored/sheathed/carried when we fully implement spears. Right now, this is just showing the model.
This stuff is amazing !
Since spears have been implemented, can I ask if crossbows will be useable items that can be looted from Uruk-hai? That would certainly be amazing.
Crossbows are in the upcoming Skyrim DLC, so they could easily be implemented now I'm guessing.
