The 'Middle Earth Roleplaying Project' aims to recreate J.R.R. Tolkien's Middle Earth in the Creation engine of 'Skyrim'. The player will be plunged into Middle Earth near the end of the Third Age, not long before the War of the Ring breaks out.

Humm, I can't see the wood for the trees...
That's how thick the wood is, Not like the small dotted trees in skyrim. This is a proper wood! There will be some clearings also though.
And props to the MERP team for doing this, one of the things I couldn't stand (I may be exaggerating a little) with skyrim and oblivion was how the "forests" weren't real forests. For me, somehow that was a quite big immersion breaker, since the forests where I live are much thicker
I thought this was grass :D, these are some of the thickest forests I've seen in any game.
Yeah, the biggest environmental boner killer is when the forests have a few sparse trees and you can see further than 50 feet ahead of you. Nice to have a real forest for once.
Uh... isnt this gonna be a Graphics Killer? Imagine so many trees moving, having shaders and shadows and so on and so forth... I doubt many PCs can handle that...
