...in the grim darkness of the far future, there is only war.. Men of the Emperor: Burning Horizon hopes to bring the brutal, grim, dark and wonderful universe of Warhammer 40,000 we all love to the Men of War real-time strategy game franchise. With a small but dedicated team, we hope to bring as much of WH40K into the game as we can.

Like Catachan said, the final las-color hasn't been decided yet as yellow would look too much like regular tracers since MoW doesn't take kindly to animated or randomized tracer FX.

Lorewise standard imperial lasguns have blue lasers, it was dow that introduced the red ones.

Personally i like the red ones more.

Blue has a more Imperial-ish tone not to mention in real life carries more energy than yellow or red.

I agree. Red feels right for las guns.

actually, the red lasers represent an older model of lasguns commonly associated with the chaos cultists (due to the lack a new tech and recycled IG tech) and the blue laser are used with the normal IG (they also have more power comparatively)

We'll probably keep blue for Imperial Guard and red for PDF/Chaos.

also a commonplace in the guard is a lack of available up to date equipment. when they are short, sometimes the guard will use "reserve weapons"... such as older models... or even resort to using Autoguns (slugthrowers and such) if no lasguns are available. use what you can to fight the enemies of the emperor!... they might even pick up shovels if they have to...

I think you need your prescription glasses checked because there's a giant conversation at the top of the comments box and the edit button at the bottom of your post.

Challenge Accepted.

No, I'm not mentally challenged. No, I'm not 12. There are more games than just Dawn of War, take your pick at the multiple others. Yes, I am a pessimist, yet I'm responding, although I don't see why that has anything to do with my comment as I was simply pointing out the fact there was a conversation above and an edit button so you could have just incorporated your second message into your first message instead of doing a double post, yet you tried to insult me (and terribly, at that). Please try again at a later date and have a good day.

You need Autodesk 3DS Max 2009 (2008 also works) 32 Bits to export models into MoW and MoW:AS.

I like blue lasers.Since blue light is more powerful than red light it is appropriate to use them as weapons.

Well, tactically the Uv lasers are the best. They carries the biggest amount of energy, and they are invisible, which is good for sneaking. But if it must to be coloured, the dark blue.

Blue, Red, and Green tend to be the most common weapon colors. Lightsabers not included, since you can hypothetically have thousands of saber colors, you just need the right crystal.

It's not a light. A melta gun is a jet lighter on crack. It's a super hot flame that looks like a laser.
