Remodeled, saw that the Volus Dread is based more off the frigate so i went back and redesigned it. Enjoy.
How differne tin deisng it is from the frigate/cruiser?

Maybe a way how to save money and space, as it uses the same model as Turian frigate/cruiser (I sometimes doubt it is frigate, but rather a cruiser)?
Does this mean that you'll be remodeling the turian frigate as well?
already did, twice. So thats a no.
Frigate, cruiser and now dread are accurate.
accurate to a point, the volus dread is like so because it is built of of old designes sold to the protectorate.
the new dreads that EO designed, are like the alliance cruisers, after the battle of the citadel new tech emerged and new ship designs surfaced and took over.
Yeah. The other standard Turian dreads should remain the same. Will give the fleet more diversity.
Accurate when there is only one known turian ship design? :) I didnt said that frigate should be remodeled, only that the turian ship seen in ME1-3 are cruisers, not frigates, because they dont have characteristics of frigates. They arent fast, and they arent cruising around targets, but they are firing from distance with MACs, like cruisers.
And Dreadnought, it should have some more details and somehow differentiate it from cruisers and frigates, like the Alliance's frigate, cruiser and dread, you can easily tell them apart by their structure. With turians its like all ships are made through carbon paper, maybe just that one frigate that was unused in ME1 files.
The ships are similar yes and its hard to discern between them. Turians naturally have bigger ships and for all we know it could be either a light cruiser or a heavy frigate. For thw purposes of the game we have decided to make it a frigate. I'm making sure that its statistics match the design and shape of the ship.
Well, the size may be it, yes, from the model its as large as Alliance cruiser, but it didnt showed any traits of the frigate, that are described in game's Codex. By me, it goes more to the cruiser.
In ME2 and three the small model yoy can get was called a frigate. Zaeed so talke about the "frigate", explaining how much he loved blowing the **** out of it and nk its not the same size as an alliance cruiser. If you look ay model comparisons from ME taken directly you can see its smaller.
Sorry about my previous reply. That was done at 6 in the morning after four hours sleep. No food and lots of dancing and walking.
But to get back to the point. The one you see in the cutscenes is a cruiser (which we have) but the frigate we have is based off the models of the frigate in-game.
Hate the volus as a species but amazing work! love it! It looks Turian inspired.
