Taking Doom³ PVE (Coop) and PVP (Deathmatch) multiplayer combat to the next level and beyond...
Fantastic and fun multiplayer mod with coop and all normal multiplayer modes, on a game that add almost no multiplayer at all, and a very basic net code, is to prove that talent is the more important aspect on the quality of a game/mod not the game or engine where you make it.
This is an amazing work of art. Got to beta test this sucker and was so blown away. My son even got a crack at it and loves it. Lots of fun and very smooth thanks to the reworked net code. Nice changes to the sikkmod graphics code too. A very distinct look overall. Great work and time well spent.
Amazing work when you consider that this game had no co op at all. Ans now we get it and it's amazingly smooth for everyone.
Campaign CoOp, Custom Campaign CoOp, Bots, AI, and Linux support. I can't even imagine the effort put into this 💪
Developers deserve praise for making this and I hope you continue to improve on already perfect mod.

This mod has rejuvenated my love for the franchise.
It's author is as kind as he is talented, he joined a server I was playing on and walked me through all of the features and gamemodes, it was really fun.
It plays more like Doom is expected to play, and the custom maps screamed Classic Doom, and DemonWars was a fun spin on the PvE formula, with players racing demons in score in a bloody mess.
This mod is the embodiment of the modder spirit. It was done on someones free time, completely for free (open up a donate option!), and revamps the game in a way that is new and familiar at the same time.
I will most definitely be playing a lot more of Mars City Security and recommending it to my friends too.

I was going to initially give a rating of 9/10 for a few reasons, first because fundamentally I believe nothing is perfect and second I was hoping it wouldn't force me to write a review. When Doom 3 was released it lacked a few things, not the least of which was decent multiplayer which made sense at the time for a single player focused game. This has since been corrected thanks to MCS. On top of providing a pretty darn solid multiplayer addition, the mod also adds much improved net code for a silky smooth experience, another problem that plagued the original game. On top of that, the graphics have also seen an improvement for all you bloom junkies with the addition of some Sikkmod features.
There are custom maps galore, provided by the community and beyond with many game modes to try so there's something for everyone, from straight up deathmatch and objective-based coop to fending off hell's hordes in demon wars (a personal favorite).
So grab some friends and go kick some *** marines!
