Nah, the rods would be more even. I think this is luggage support of some kind. It reminds me the luggage support things in metro cars. But why the hell would you need that in the Titanic...
It's probably not that either.
For me it reminds me luggage support in old train in our country.
Or an old bus, perhaps. But still, why put this on the Titanic?
I have no idea but it does not fit in there.
Looks more like the mechanics below a sun-shade roof than a bench to me. Whatever it was - I really like the texture.
