Mad Laboratory mod for Amnesia: The Dark Descent

Full walkthrough (English version):

4/10. Meh, way too short in my opinion. It's alright, but offers nothing special, it's just a really short demo if anything. The story doesn't evolve into anything, and just kinda ends abruptly. Not very interesting in my opinion, and the layout of some rooms is just a bit, weird.

Hey there! I currently only have one custom story (which sucks) so I'm going to sound like a total hypocrite, oh well!

But here it is:

The maps didn't flow very well. What I mean is that one second you're in a mansion type room, while the next second you're in a dark scary dungeon, see what I mean?

While the brute spawned when I was on the stairs, it glitched and stood still while I ran to the next door. Monsters on stairs are very difficult so I understand.

Jumpscares are out of style unless you're a master of jumpscares. Just saying :P

hey there, that was fun :D not the usual 'first story' stuff, you have unique ideas in the design even if it is far from perfect. you could have fill it with more objects and less items (potions i mean). monsters and scares were okey, there were nice little puzzles and things like that. all in all it deserves a 6/10 rating. but you will receive a 7/10, because as your first story, it is quite good. keep more coming, and try to imagine a better story, and give the mod a better name next time. oh and don't forget to include screenshots and a custom story background in the menu instead of one from the original game. this is quite important :)

Also, scare leve 5/10? It was also 1-2... very few, cheap jumpscares, easy monster encounters (to be honest I never actually saw a monster once, only heard them) and the athmosphere was almost nothing done with

Positives:

- Decent level design at some parts
- Noy only key quests, although not many others
- A few scares

Negatives:

- Cheap scares and most of them not well made
- Level design in overall is not that great and lack details (the floor is far too way up in the first map by the way)
- 10-15 minuts of gameplay
- No intro, no ending (except for a fading screen)
- Almost no story either. Sure, you added notes, but the "story" ended as fast as it began, even in the notes. I also hoped the laboratory was going to be special since the name is mad laboratory. Nothing...
