This is the upcoming Legend-9's little brother. Play through the massive, hyper-detailed levels of Legend-9 Hexen campaign with the classic vanilla-Hexen game mechanics - or with your favorite gameplay mod. This is a completely standalone project. Any sourceport is supported. This time, - GZDoom's software option is preferred for maximum authenticity and nostalgia. Hopefully, if i get help with GZDoom editing - the development progress will be faster and the number of features will grow.

Holy crap the quality on this is amazing! I played through it in GZDoom 4.7.1 with the HexArcana mod and was blown away by the sheer expansiveness of the level. With GZDoom's fancy graphics + addons (like vanilla essence for the gamers of culture haha) this feels like an excellent remake/remaster of sorts. The attention to detail on the level design is incredible!
I really hope to eventually see the whole game remade in this fashion. Loved the sourceport/mod compatibility focus. Tysm and please keep this up!
Hey. Sorry for the late reply, i was away on a Doom-3 modding quest - for 3 and a half months, so i didn't really check Hexen-related projects. However, i am back to the sword-&-sorcery realms now, and i can tell you this:
the whole game WILL BE remade in this fashion. Although ETA on that is unclear. The thing is, that i am making these levels for my flagship project of all time: Legend 9. (and that one is Doomsday-engine only) Forgotten Chapter - is a spin-off mod and before i get to it, a good amount of time will pass.
Currently, i am focusing all my efforts on Legend-9, which should be released this fall, hopefully. Then, i will go on with the DLC's for Legend 9 (there are three of those). During that time, i hope to progress with the demo up to the end of the first hub.
Eventually, when all other projects are done, - the development time will be shared between the sequel to Legend 9 (Deathkings: The Return) - and this mod (Forgotten Chapter). That is the plan.
