Our goal is to bring into focus the Legacy Era, but more specifically the Second Imperial Civil War. Play as either the tyrannical Krayt Empire, freedom-seeking Galactic Alliance Remnant or the obscure Confederation Revenant.
Big thanks to Warb_null for creating this! It's one of my favorites.
The Bothan Advanced Destroyer is the newest capital ship built by the Bothans for their local defense forces. These vessels utilize the most modern technology in defensive and offensive areas. Sleek and elegant, and measuring 1050 meters in length, they are quite smaller than the mass-produced capital ships that from the backbone of the Imperial and Alliance navies, but have each ship has more attention to detail.
Although not as strong as a Pellaeon or Scythe, these independent starships can be devastating to your frigates and smaller vessels. Bothan Advanced Destroyers are cheaper but top-notch in terms of quality. Shielding is exceptionally strong, as is the armor plating. They have standard sub-light speed and very fast hyperdrives. The armament includes 6 heavy double turbolaser batteries and 2 plasma mortar launchers. Standard variants carry 6 squadrons of R-28 Starfighters. The Bothans have made contracts with other smaller local governments to supply these Destroyers as part of their defense fleets, and as such you will encounter them across the galaxy. Often you will come in contact with variants that have modified specs (weapons, shields/hull, engines, and fighter complement). Upon conquering Bothawui, you will gain access to constructing the standard variant.
Is this one of those ship designs that was created by Drone like the Blue Diver and Strident?
Yes sir!
Aww, I was hoping he would make these, but it would be like his other models he released. I still hoping he'll make Drone's other ships, the Longhorn, the Backstabber, and the Arrowhead.
The Longhorn for sure, the other two i haven't heard of. can you point me to the art?
I'll post the links on your EEAW model thread.
So this is like a middle ground between capital ship and frigate? It looks very nice!
