"Polonais" is in the feminine singular sense.
At the time, "Chevau-Léger" was written without the X. You're right that "polonais" should be without the E though.
In my defence, I did know that. I just wasn't paying attention.
It's fine, anyone has their moment of inattention while writing in a foreign language.
Technically French isn't a foreign language for Docm30 (I don't know how much he knows), but your point is still valid.
