After the update in 2014, creators no longer need to use collada, you can now export meshes and animations in FBX format. FBX shouldn't be as much of a hassle. 1.3 and 1.3.1 updated Amnesia also support Blender animations.

at one point there was going to be a an update for it, but the guy working on the rigs and animations got issues animating it so he stopped, if anyone wants a crack at it the link is in the description.
Apparently a recent patch for Amnesia has changed the way monster bones are loaded. So someone should be able to get it rigged and animated now, it should be much easier than before.
It should be quite easy but the link posted here does not work :(
