Installed your mod, but I can't start a campaign. I can turn the game on and select a campaign and the country I intend to play with, but the Start button is of the screen and I can't see it. My resolution is 1366 x 768, but the mod res is different. How do I change it to match my pc? I tried changing Koh.in2 but after i start the game it brings up a Knights of Honor Setup window that gives me the option to choose 3 visual settings - all of which are 1024 768. I tried them and they just change the mode in the koh.in2 file to either 21 22 or 23.

Hi mmtztustz,

The Full HD patch only supports 1920x1080, because of the way the developers of the game made it for 1024x768 originally. On a screen of 1366x768 your only choice is to stick with the orinial 1024x768 resolution, if you uninstall the Ultimate mod, then run the installer again you should be able to install the Ultimate mod without the HD patch. (i think it is the third or fourth option in the drop down list in the setup program). Once you do that, youll need to rename KoH.in2 and then launch the game again and test the video settings work. This will install all of the gameplay enhancements, extra buildings etc in the mod but without the 1920x1080 resolution.

Its not out of the question to release other versions apart from 1920x1080, but I have no plans to do so as it involves 10x the amount of work, and we simply dont have enough people working on this project to implement that.

If you are using a laptop the only way to play in Full HD mode would be to use the video out and plug it into a larger desktop monitor. Sorry, we picked 1920x1080 because it was one of the most common monitor sizes, and the larger screen real estate makes managing realms easier (less panning required)

n64gamer is right, by the way, there are some fix :

- if you use NVIDIA graphic Card, go to settings and set a custom resolution : Youtube.com

- If you use an AMD card : use Eyefinity in Crimson Driver to have FullHD scaling on a HD screen

- if you use an Intel chip, you could use CustomModeApp in Advanced settings of your panel, or in Windows > System32.

Closed and added to FAQ.

Check the FIX #3, with DXWND you can use HD patch with different resolution. But it's pretty unstable.
