These are some of the units available to the Hellenes in the Hellenistic Age. In this age, they are based off the Kingdom of Macedon, to they receive Macedonian units.

Pezhetairoi are the backbone of the Macedonian army. They are protected by small shields, greaves, crested Thracian-type helmets and either a linothorax or bronze cuirass. Their sarissa pikes allow them to have the first strike against enemies.

Hypaspistai form part of the king's royal guard. Fighting as hoplites, these men are equipped with a dory, aspis, expensive cuirass and a painted Phrygian or Thracian helmet. With high-quality armour and superb training, even a few of these soldiers can bring victory.

Thureophoroi and thorakitai are new types of units utilised by the Hellenic successor states. Not unlike the Roman legionaries, they are both well armoured and versatile. The thureophoroi are equipped with heavy javelins and a linothorax and the thorakitai are equipped with a xiphos and a chain mail tunic or breastplate.

Toxotai Kretekoi are excellent archers from the island of Crete. Their composite bows and extensive training allow them to inflict more damage on the enemy from a greater range. They have a helmet, shield and linothorax to give them a greater chance of surviving in battle.
