This mod started out as a compilation of all those other mods that add new styles to Jade Empire. Eventually I figured out how to add styles myself and added a few more. All in all there's around 40 styles now. 50 if you count weapon upgrades as well. Quite a lot of styles have been modified. Some have been re-balanced. To others I've added new effects. And some have been re-purposed entirely. But I didn't stop at adding and modding styles either. There are new gem armors, new techniques, new merchants, brand new concepts like specializations... I can say without the slightest bit of exaggeration, that this is the largest mod for Jade Empire out there. In fact: It is many times larger than all other mods combined and that is not just because it *contains* so many other mods. The last time I checked the codebase totaled to 25,000 lines. In other words: This mod is a complete overhaul.

Not sure if this idea is feasible, or makes any sense at all. I had the thought that distance weapons (other than Mirabelle) might be nice for non-magic users.
Maybe a bow (short bow, longbow could be an upgrade path), crossbow (light to heavy), javelins or throwing stars. Possibly some kind of grenade, since gunpowder is available.

I wish I had a good reply to that, but I only have a reply: The problem is, you see, that it's not possible to create new objects, new animations or new effects for Jade Empire, because there is no tool like MDLOps for this game. MDLOps is/was an importer and exporter for models that was created back in the Neverwinter Nights days and eventually upgraded for Knights of the Old Republic. Jade Empire's format must be quite similiar and when this game was new, there were some efforts to build upon MDLOps and create a JE-version, but unfortunately they fizzled. That was quite a while ago and so it may no longer be possible to re-activate that old skill and knowledge from the KotOR and NWN days. I'm not much help, either, I'm afraid. All this 3d-stuff is far outside my area of expertise. I was kinda hoping that my efforts would inspire someone to rise to the challenge, pick up the half-finished pieces and build a new MDLOps, but nothing happened so far...

So, yes, I like your ideas, but unfortunately that doesn't matter.
