Awesome going to try right away.
Great improvements, minor issue at the starting map were one selects the difficulty I tried to get acces to the hidden area with the eye symbol on it, however I could not access it even after acquiring the amulet.
The stealth alcove at the beginning of the start map should only open once the player has comes back a second time. Did you get the amulet from training and walk back? Or was this a second play through coming back from one of the bonus maps?
It is probably worth mentioning is that you don't start in Stealth mode, you have to find the Amulet of Shadows first. The start map is vanilla quake and is designed to give the player the chance to explore and discover what is going on in the world.
Is this standalone?
This is a MOD that requires the ID Quake assets and a modern Quake engine because the maps break the original limits.
Okay, cheers. Sorry if it sounded like a silly question, but Darkplaces is open source so I wasn't sure if it needed quake.
It would be cool if I did not need the original assets but this was initial reason I did the mod in the first place, I love the original art style.
Im trying this right now I still love quake :)
i like this update man ! i still wish i could start with the amulet though.
In the first room of the start map (Temple of Swords) with the rune pillars shoot the central ceiling light and you will see an alcove with the Amulet.
Why is it called demo?
Is this the latest, version 1.1 ?
It is called a demo because the MOD is not complete. This version is just a couple of maps (S1M1,S1M2,TOS) and the base stealth combat system. This demo was produced to give people an impression of what the final MOD will be like when finished.
good work man keep work
