In Country: Vietnam is a brand-new, multiplayer first person TACTICAL SHOOTER being developed for the PC. It is a total conversion mod for both Red Orchestra 2: Heroes of Stalingrad and Red Orchestra 2: Rising Storm. In Country: Vietnam marks the first time that the Red Orchestra series will depart from the battlefields of World War II by plunging players into the claustrophobic jungle environments of Vietnam. Players can expect to face all new dangers; from crossing deadly open rice fields or clearing rural villages beset with traps, to defending entrenched fire-base positions and more!

Sorry for double posting, but I really like the little bits of foliage between the grass blades. Great attention to detail.

Awesome mod! I can't wait for it :)
But, I have a "little smart suggest":
M16 in Vietnam got 20 rounds stanag magazines since near the end of the conflict, when was introduced the 30 rounds stanag magazine. I suggest to put 20 rounds magazine on M16 :)

"At the same time (circa 1970) the new 30 rounds magazines were introduced into service instead of the original 20 rounds ones, to equal Soviet and Chinese AK-47 assault rifles, which had 30-rounds magazines from the very beginning."

I'm not sure how M203s looked in Vietnam, but yours look nice.
Waiting to see a M79 too.

Im actually 99% sure they didn't have under barrel launchers. They used boomers/thumpers that where a completely separate gun.

under barrel launchers were very common in the Vietnam conflict especially with special forces units, though they were used mainly at the later end of the conflict. Would be better to use the XM148 UGL since it was used earlier in the conflict than the m203.

That model is of the M16A2 with the underbarrel M203 grenade launcher, not seen in service until the Golf War (late 1980's). The special forces you are talking about were the US Army Rangers (Known as the LRRP or LRP units during the conflict) and they were issued the XM16E1 commercial AR-15. The only M16 variant or similar at that time that could use M203 attachment was the Canadian C7, which was NOT available in the Vietnam Conflict). The M16 used in this era was the M16A1 fully automatic assault rifle with a 20 round Stanag magazine

I'm sorry, I forgot to add in that some SF units (Green Berret mostly) were issued the XM177/CAR-15 carbine rifle that allowed for the attachment of the Colt XM148/CGL-4 grenade launcher (nicknamed "the bitch")

Those are custom UGLs developed for special units. Not standard issue and not the M203. Please research and you will find tons of resources telling you that you are wrong.

no that is an A1(you can tell by the rear sight) but it should still have a 20rnd magazine.

After a brief search, I discovered that the M203 was developed in 1969 and was first used in Vietnam, case closed.

i would also liuke ot comment that they only had M16s and M16A1s and neither version looked like this no to mention M16s at the time had no railing systems for attachments

Neither did the M16A2 in the '80s. The first variant of the M203 series required the removal of the bottom of the handguard in order to be attached (which could not be done with the M16A1, as it had a fixed triangular handguard)
