Immersion 1944 is a - finally - Singleplayer Mod for Company of Heroes 1. It provides tons of historical skins, several new missions and enhanced campaigns that are altered to better mimic the historical engagements, with more correct units, bigger vehicle choice and lots of random stuff that makes every single vehicle or soldier look unique.

ah, that sometimes happens. There is a method to fix that:

go to your Steam library, right-click on Company of Heroes and open "properties"

in the properties window you can edit the start options. click there. a text insert opens.

enter" -dev -mod Immersion -nomovies" and confirm. then try to start standard Company of Heroes

oh so that a no then?

Aug 31 2020 Anchor

its a "yes, but later". it might work for now, if you delete your savegames for the us campaigns and play with the unlock all missions fix.

they should be located in C:\Users\user\Documents\My Games\Company of Heroes Relaunch\Savegames\Immersion\Campaigns\coh

Mission will be a little bit bugged, though. I can only recommend to wait for the final release.

oh ok ill try that

another question what is the "start options" text for all missions unlock

Hello there, I have just installed this mod and I am not certain it is playing out properly as I cannot see any new campaigns and have no opening screen depicting the mod is running. I have checked the install and set up the all mission shortcut which is functional. Big question, what am I doing wrong?? I assume the mod runs in Campaign and not Skirmish or Multiplayer. Also, I note there has been little activity against this mod in recent times, is it still active, and are further updates still in process?

Thanks, I look forward to your reply with interest.

Seems like the shortcut does not work. A method to manually enter the mod into steam might help:

go to your Steam library, right-click on Company of Heroes and open "properties"
in the properties window you can edit the start options. click there. a text insert opens.
enter" -dev -mod Immersion -nomovies" and confirm. then try to start standard Company of Heroes from your Library as usual.

Its worth pointing out that the mod download file when unzipped creates a folder "Immersion_1.0".

Even if this is in the CoH root directory (either conventional install or steam) the mod won't run. Move the folder "Immersion" and the .module file into the root directory from this folder.

For steam follow the directions for the -dev command functions etc. as per Halftracks instructions in this thread. Put in the "properties" line that opens in the Steam dialogue box.

The Immersion desktop shortcut doesnt work for Steam - again use the -dev command functions to get it to run from the CoH entry in your Library (Immersion isn't recognised as a Steam product as of end '21/start' 22)

Add -unlock_all_missions in the properties line to open all the missions in the standard campaigns plus "mixed encounters"

There is a CoH Immersion 44 title page - if you don't see this you are running the un-modded version of CoH

The 3 US paratroop missions from Tales of Valour are now in the main US campaign.

Ah. Moving the folder and .module file did the trick. The short cut worked for me also. No need to change the properties in Steam.
