Very nice indeed. But I think you should replace the rails with Black Mesa rails (like in the chapter after chapter "Power up"). This way you wont worry about the corners and it will make the player feel more like he is in BM. And don't make the hallways too long. This will make the map more unoptimized.

But, First of all: I'm trying to make them the most realistic possible. From another perspective, they have stripes, which make them much more black mesa-ish, but still making them look like normal tram tracks. I can't find what the black mesa tracks are based on, though, so therefore, I can't optimize the tracks to look like the original ones. But don't worry, it will be very much black mesa-ish, as the tram will still tower over open landscape, and go through several caves. Some areas won't have the boards.

Second, I'm going to use Vertex manipulation for the corners. I'll try make them as round as possible, but still making them look like this.

Third, the hallways won't be TOO long, but will be long, indeed. But I will detail them A LOT. Every wall will be different, while still keeping some symmetry.

I can tell you right now you will never be satisfied with trying to use VM to round these corners. Everything will either produce a brush/vertice error, or it just won't look right. I'd just model it, seeing as you are skilled at it.

Thanks, lockdown. But I'm going to, unlike I used to, listen to the few errors I'll get, and change the brushwork to what the case is, if any. But modelling will just waste up my max precaches. I should save them. Thanks, though, and welcome to HypernovA' community!

Description

OK, this is the same map from before. The dorms are right next to a tramway station. I haven't done the station, but I've done the tracks. Plus, I've done the basic architecture of the hallway leading to the tracks. The dorm complex is HUGE, though, so they have A LOT of tram stations there. For every 10 dorms, there's one tram station. The tracks are mainly done, though. EVERYTHING is brushwork and lighting. I'm going to redo the textures sooner or later, but as for now, it's my sister's birthday tomorrow, and I need to make her something (A "I has a flavor" kitten wallpaper. Yeah, I'm broke). Hope you like it!
