Advanced mod: Revived is a Home World 2 modification that specializes in taking the 2 existing races and expanding upon them. The idea, is to add in multiple different new ships, re-arm every ship in the game, and specialize each ship with a blended, but still clear role. By giving the player more options, and doing it in a professionalized manner the mod "advances" the gameplay of Homeworld 2 into something different, something more fun, and yet still tactically fulfilling.

Now before its asked, this model and its subsystems are from Point Defense Systems Mod.

There has been some extensive redesigning done with its systems, and hod files.

An idea: A destroyer turret base on the front, as in the light battlecruiser mod of the same ship and the light ion turret model for it from the old fx:commanders look really good on the carrier version. That's how i use it (there are also two torpedo/plasma ciws systems on the down markings, frigate kinetics on the side markings and medium range anti-strikecraft missiles om the top battery) and it fits nice the concept of refit cargo ship.

Interesting that most likely we both had similar ideas. I suppose it will become available in the Angel Moon mission? I have it nearly completely rewritten, with the convoy consisting of a Bishop, two Complex shuttles with four Complex Juggernauts docked on each (Juggernauts are the actual Crew transports that are counted, losing Shuttle means losing four at once. Crew transfer itself is made by Complex crew shuttles that are attacked by Vagyr interceptors.) and SOT battleship as "Armed transport" (something like quasicruiser). Both the Bishop and the Armed transport have their controls transfered, but keeping them is quite hard, as Vagyr forces are led by a Battlecruiser. The Bishop produces its own interceptor and heavy assault fighter (no idea where models came from trough they were used in HW@).

It actually will not be available in the ascension campaign at all. It will be in the new campaign I'm making for Advanced Mod. I actually am replacing the tutorial missions with a proper custom campaign. :D

Question: Will there be anything else that's new, ship wise, in 1.6? This new Carrier might give Hiigara a serious advantage over the Vaygr Empire and I just want to know if you were gonna possibly balance out the new stuff.

Well, I have acquired the "light carrier" model from the complex team, and have made it a "battle carrier" that is available to be built by Vaygr players. I do not have the bishop carrier available to be built. I also made an alternate production module for the normal Vaygr carrier that contains missile tubes.
Truth of the matter is though, that I don't know what I will include in regular gameplay, and what will be campaign only. Now the next release is still a long way out. This is because it is the campaign release, and needs alot more work.

Oh I see. Alright that makes more sense. Cool! Can't wait for the release!

This is kind of a spoiler, but its not like its a secret either.
This is the retrofitted bishop carrier. As of my current plan, it will only be available officially through play in the new campaign, and that's only if you keep it alive.
