Born of a dissatisfaction with Homeworld 2, the Homeworld:@ team is building upon the foundations of Homeworld and Homeworld:Cataclysm to create a faithful sequel in the Homeworld:2 engine, with new ships, storyline, and game mechanics.
A little something I whipped up to replace the clunky older version. Now featuring beam-billboard smoke jets to complement particle spawners. Well over ten times as efficient too if my math serves me.
hmmmm if you trying to say this is from HW1 or HWC just telling you it seems like its more from EVE online
This explosion is within the mod, which is for HW2, based on ion-deaths in HW2, and a bunch of other cool explosions for inspiration.
Actually it's mostly inspired by World in Conflict. HW@ is mostly meant to mimic Cataclysm and Homeworld 1 style storytelling, mission design, and ship design. On the FX side of things, the goal has always been to look as good as possible within engine limitations, not necessarily -exactly- recreate FX from HW1 and Cata.
