Latest (English) version is v1.88, as it says on the main page. Found at the 'Downloads' section. There is no word about an (English) release of v2.0 yet.

I wonder what role the battery station aka research station has in their mod now as we still see it in that screenshot.

Based on what the guy above me said, the HW1 research station will be for capital ship technology. Leaves the smaller research ships for all other techs, perhaps?

One of the advantages of playing as the Taiidan in FX is that you can build 6 research ships -and- have them stack to speed up researching. Besides that and the ability to have 2 flagships they don't have many other special traits or units like the other races .. I hope they will leave the technological advantage intact somehow or else 2.0 will be a tough ride for Taiidan players.

And thanks, it's good to be back. But of course all attention should go to the 9ccn guys and their amazing work ;)
