Description
Hokuto no Doom: 19XX Edition is a cut of the game developed by Benoit Spacher (aka iceman57) based on Hokuto no Ken, the seminal anime and manga written by Buronson and illustrated by Tetsuo Hara. It was made by Gaming Room's Facínora (me), with Spacher's approval, and keeps all of the original iceman57's Hokuto no Doom resources.
Hokuto no Doom: 19XX Edition brings a gore and blood system (an edit of Sergeant Mark IV's Ketchup Gore Mod) that makes enemies explode with Kenshiro’s attacks, includes the very beautiful iceman57's Metz Cathedral (also known as Hokuto no Cathedral) map available for deathmatches and organizes its custom assets, separating them from the shareware Doom, over which Hokuto no Doom was originally built and distributed with.
Compatibility
Since the original Hokuto no Doom was standalone, I decided to create a package for the 19XX Edition that comes Freedoom and Zandronum 3.0, but if you prefer to play with another port, Hokuto no Doom: 19XX Edition seems to work fine here on GZDoom (1.8.2, 2.4.0 and 3.7.2) with the IWADs from The Ultimate Doom and Freedoom's phase 1.
