Half-Life 2: Amalgam Zenith hopes to be many things. The main goal is the complete replacement of the entire HL2 asset library with newer, higher quality overhauls or alternatives. To ensure we are making the best experience one can reasonably obtain, we've been rounding up some of the best HL2 mod makers from around the world and utilizing parts of their popular pre-existing standalone mods where we can. In doing so, we are removing the need for players to manually install tens and even sometimes hundreds of mods themselves to get a more modern HD look. This has the added bonus of removing the headache of troubleshooting personal mod packs and going more in depth than any one player ever could.

We have upscaled, hybridized, and enhanced what we feel are the best parts of 3 of gamebanana's most top quality HEV arm skins.
The gloves are a combination of the Mark V, HEV Redux, and Themanclaw's HEV Hands Remastered skins creating a very textured, slightly dirty, near HL2 Default colored diffuse texture.
The vents and orange areas are from an upscaled version of the Mark V skin with high contrast upscaled normals for the vents.
The grey areas of the forearm are a blend of the Mark V and Themanclaw skins.
The elbow uses Themanclaw's colors with some Mark V texturing.
The lights are a significantly improved version of the HEV Redux lights with extra smooth, fully custom self illumination textures.
The fins are now orange, being a recolored version of Themanclaw's textures.
Normal maps from the Mark V and Themanclaw's skin have been combined and enhanced for high contrast and detail.
We have no idea where the detail textures came from but we are looking for more/better ones.
