This mod aims to replace or improve textures in game with new high resolution work while retaining the original feeling and color palette of the game. Characters in game will be given much higher variety of uniforms, equipment and decals which will allow for much deeper experience for those who want to revisit the game or play it for the first time after long time. The textures are redone using original ones as base whenever possible (most are still nice and have at least basic realism) to retain original design, but all textures are upscaled to twice (or more) of original resolution, sharpened, and have decals either redrawn, or replaced with as much reverence to realism as possible. In effect the skins are extra realistic, but also don't look out of place - everything is done as to not ruin the original scene background and color palette that has been developed specially for SPR and MoHAA.
EDIT: In latest release of the mod the Weapons Texture Pack is already pre-installed - you don't need to download this file. Head to "files" section to get latest release of full mod. This here stays as backup and for those who want to play vanilla game or other mods with these skins. Weapons texture pack for MoH:AA. Contains skins for every available weapon in MoH:AA, with many being completely new textures. Current version of pack has .dds files inside so it will work with texture compression enabled (BUT remember the full mod itself doesn't work with texture compression yet!).
Really Thanks For You..!!
I'm Glad Because This MoD Still in Service..!!
thanks weapons good all good,
texture compression needs to be off to see them????
yes, the version that will work with texture compression should be there together with 1.0 release
I will wait for that version...btw, great effort and work, keep it up, soldier!!!
when I finally get back my proper PC it will be the first thing I'll do. and thank you! :)
Will the textures of hand grenades be fixed ?
Yeah, I'm planning to make them too, probably right when full 1.0 version will be done
Greetings! About installation of this mod. All in all, I open downloading mod folder using RAR, Copy two pk3 files and put them into 'main" folder. Then I enter to game, load save game, and.... nothing changed. The textures were vanilla and remained. Before that, I installed the BETA mod ande the mod for ability to play with bots in multiplayer. I put it all on war chest edition.
Hello, did you untick "Texture Compression" in graphic settings? If you have it enabled you won't see part of textures, that is like 1/3rd of character textures but 100% of weapon textures.
The reason for that is when "texture compression" is enabled the game loads .dds textures instead of .tga or .jpg, and for Beta version I only uploaded mod with replaced .jpg files so the release is quicker and I could collect feedback. Now that I have some issues fixed the full 1.0 version will be uploaded in next few weeks with .dds files included, so the mod will be able to be played no matter what settings one prefers. Sorry for having to wait
Thank's a lot!!! Now this mod is working!
I turned off texture compression and weapon textures work but the uniforms and any other models won't change, do I need to start a new game or reinstall MOHAA for it to work?
Did you install the main mod files? This here is only the weapons pack, you need to install the mod itself: Moddb.com
And yes starting new game/new campaign is needed
Thanks, it works now but there is another problem, not sure if it is related to the mod. I started spearhead to check out the paratrooper models and the plane sound was gone, I could hear the character dialogue but not the plane, any fixes?
That's weird, rather not connected to the mod since I tried playing SH with it and the sounds were intact, the mod also doesn't change ambient or vehicle sounds nor touch the ubersound (file controlling the sounds).
What is your version of the game? GOG or retail CD version?
After re-installing the game everything worked fine, I have the origins version of MOHAA anyway.
I download the file, place it in main folder but nothing changes. What am i missing?
Did you unpack the file? The .pk3 files need to be in /main, not the .7z file
Hello, I tried to download the files but for some reason I get the page taking a long time to respond. some help?
the same with the full mod
Well that must be simply problem with moddb site availability at the moment, trying again after some time should work
Thanks for the help
