Description
Vehicle Transport Willys car Famously known as the JEEP.
This is a early development preview of the vehicle for Heroes of the West
It was fairly easy to make
1.Mesh was rigged in blender and exported
2.Code derived from the German halftrack SDkfZ was slapped on to it
It uses SDKfz sounds and other effects at the moment these are to be replaced by proper content soon
P.S. Credits for textures to Moskeeto and rest by Commander Shepard

How easy will it be to be shot out of this? ATM is it like a half track and just has invisible sides?
Probably be pretty easy to get shot out of it lol. It will go a lot faster later on.

will there be variants with mounted MGs like the Browning 1919 30 cal. , Browning M2 50 cal. , & .303 cal. BREN LMGs for example?
Definitely going for the M2 browning as that was the most common gun mounted on it even though pretty much all the jeeps in company of heroes and band of brothers had 30 cal MGs for some reason. Don't know if we are gonna do other variants.
So you guys didn't just essentially re-skin the SDkfz.251? This is it's own vehicle created from scratch? (Save for the sounds and some coding of course) Excellent work.
All the code was from the halftrack. But it was modelled, textured, rigged and animated from scratch. Though it doesn't have proper 3rd person animations yet. And some of the animations will be Reused like the ones for passengers sitting down.
I've been on one of these, it goes a little more brraaaap ahah
What are you waiting for to contact tripwire and release a paid game like RS did? I would buy this :)
