Heat of Battle is a BF2 mod focused on delivering top-tier animation, sound, and lighting, as well as fast-paced, intense gameplay.
This map pack will only work if you have Special Forces (xpack) content installed. If you have BF2 Revive or BFHD, this should work fine.
Is this outdated now?
This has been updated and is ready to use with the Christmas update :)
There haven't been any significant changes, only adding the Challenger 2 tank to replace the M1A2 on Ghost Town and Warlord.
It doesn't work with BFHD since the mod doesn't have SF content at all. So the maps crash at 60% when trying to load the models.
What a shame, I remember being able to play the sf maps with BFHD. I guess the author removed the SF content at some point D:
I have this problem too with "Alpha Project"

Insurgent deployment doesn't work nor is there a Russian faction.
Doesn't work. Game crashes as soon as I load them in my Heat of Battle mod.
I have been wondering how to install 32-64 vanilla maps for Special Force (xpack) expansion. Looks like it's different to base BF2 game as well as Euro Force/Armored Fury which became one with base BF2 game.
I once tried to replaced 64 version of a SF map however the original 16 version is loss. Lucky I made a copy of 16 version before replacing. Leviathan map is not even detected in the game despite it was supposed to be one of vanilla maps.
Also is there a way to enter Special Force directly from desktop? Without going through the base game first.
