Agreed. A hand rail would be fine...thats a bit much. Maybe glass instead?

The rail, as said above, should be removed. The only other thing I can really see needing to be changed is those textures on the steps. They don't have any variation and looked boring. With that being said, keep up the work!
I think a solid bar, at the same angle as the window, with a glass pane filling the bottom bit (I'd say about a third) would look nice, in stead of that railing.
