Last I heard, the capital shipyard will be able to retrofit shielding to capitals with late tier research, but it's something you'll have to do manually.
sorry to ask this, i'm sure that had a lot of work put into it, but is that the full resolution texture for the Infinity? it feels...lacking compared to what i expected.
nope, go watch spartan ops, where it rams a ship and it's shield's pulse yellow. All UNSC shield tech is yellow, and in what few examples of it exist it is superior in strength to covenant shields of the same power requirements and size of generator.
Hardlight is Forerunner tech, thats why the ingame model for the armour ability is made of Forerunner metal.
Why am i the only one who pays attention?
Mind you, the "Infinity" uses Forerunner tech like the engines.
I'm not sure hardlight is used as ship grade shielding, and if it is then it can't be that good as "Infinity" would have punched through it to make the "hole" in the "Mantle's Approach" for chief, although considering the "Infinity" has what is essentially a double barreled "Big Stick" MAC i'm not surprised if that was the case.
Also the "Super Carrier" is (MUCH) bigger than "Infinity"
Apologies if you answered this already but is there going to be a shielding upgrade at one point for all unsc ships?
If so, I hope the Covenant's research at that point will maintain the 3-to-1 playstyle.

Semi Manually, The shipyards upgrade your Capital ships with shields via an ability
Will the Infinity have a special ability to ram Covies ships, if that's even codable?
No.
Awwww... :(
Totally understandable though
out of curiosity tho. is that actually codable?
Before I clicked on the play button, I though the star in the background was a hit on the shield. XD
cant wait to unleash this beast against the covies
Haha! I love it! The Infinity just ROFL stomped that Thermopylae. Can't wait to use it and own fleets with it.
I kind of expected it to have shields similar to spartans. Stil looks good though. :)
Shield is copied from Halo 4.
The Halo 4 texture looked like it was based off the spartans. At least from what I saw from the SpOPs Cutscenes.
So... on a scale of Paris to damn near invincible, how tanky is this beast gonna be compared to the Covies purple planet eaters?
The ship at the end is a UNSC Supercarrier.

nice all in all but arnt the shealds supost to be tinted blue (if i remember correctly)?

oh ok, i guss i was just thinking of the spartan hardlight sheald any ways

if I may ask what abilities will the infinity have?
I noticed the Thermopylae Class that the "Infinity" ate had shields too, is that why it didn't get instagibbed?
