Vindicated Design

While most famous for its Flight II models introduced into UNSC service in 2554, the first flight of Vindication-class Light Battleships were originally designed by the CMA during the later stages of their Insurrection campaigns. Unlike its successor, the CMA's original vision for the Vindication called for a mixed-guns battleship capable of taking on jobs traditionally assigned to entire task forces. Corruption in the ranks and bureaucratic meddling led to the project being shelved until the Great War. The Vindication project was revived by the UNSC following the emergence of hostilities, allowing the Navy to bypass the typical multi-year feasibility studies and go straight to wartime production, with the first units leaving SinoViet naval yards in 2530.

Our rendition of the Vindication takes some deliberate liberties from its canon counterpart, and was designed prior to the official lore drop in the 2022 Encyclopedia. As such, we felt fit to give it a custom lore that makes it fit in without overriding the canon design.
