Why the top turrets are half buried in the ship hull?

They're antennae, champ.

I'm 100% sure this is the 50mm MLA, it's not an antenna.
Or maybe they have been recycled to serve as antennae?

Ah, I'm fairly certain it's just a weird angle, can't say for sure until it is put in-game.

You can see on the top and bottom facing images that the turrets are burried in the hull.

Ah, it's a stilish concept (even if i find it a bit stupid tactically, but still awesome) but Sins of the Prophets dont support these complicated animations right?.

You'll all be happy to know that the turrets are being fixed. Hope you're happy with yourselves.

Yeah that's pretty weird. They should either be out all the way or inside the hull. Having the turret halfway out with the doors closed doesn't make sense.

Half turret or not, that beast looks sexy as hell.

I can't see what everyone is talking about with the turrets, I see them and they don't look buried in the hull to me. Though to be honest it makes more sense to have them a bit more heavily armored, that way strike craft runs can't take them out. Even though thats impossible in game. The ship looks beautiful, I can see why this is a flagship type vessel. Annihalator you are amazing.

The barrels are buried if you see, only the top of the turret, where sensors are, is out.
However the ship is really good, one of my favourite models so far!

Excited! I really enjoyed the webcast as well, watched the whole thing and all I wanted was to get involved! Those fleet battles were well awesome!

Description

Admiral Preston Cole's flagship, the UNSC Everest, was a Valiant-class Super Heavy Cruiser, heavily modified and armored for the purpose of leading fleet engagements and coordinating weapons fire.

The Valiant-class will be one of our starting capital ships for the UNSC faction. It will include a suite of abilities that allow it to enhance the fleet around it.

Modeled and textured by Annihilater102, using the scale chart designed by D4RKST0RM99 as a reference for the general shape.
