The Scholte-class frigates were a staple of the CMA fleet at the height of the insurrection, fitted with a comprehensive sensor suite and missile complement. The Scholte lacks the MAC that would characterize its successor models, and instead relies upon a loadout of Ares and Archer missiles for offensive power, backed up by a Guardhouse autocannon. The Scholte was ultimately handed over to the UNSC Navy with the emergence of the Covenant conflict, and reclassified as a missile corvette. In this role, they gained a reputation as reliable - if slow - vessels capable of punching above their weight.

The Scholte is a missile corvette, and it's rather ancient by the time of the Human-Covenant War. The way we've got it currently is it's a little slow but longer ranged than some of the other corvettes. Since it's old and small it's also cheap, so you can dump a bunch of resources into building them to bolster fleets.

So this seems to me like a long-range frigate or a milita ship. Whats the plan for this one?
