sins engine can't handle more than one star...not unless they make their own star and have it as two smaller stars in format of one star.....star.

I mean sins can't handle more than one star per system. the light source has to come from one star, to have three stars will just Eff it up.

however they could just make a single star (placment wise) and reskin it to look like three stars.

it's just sins can't handle any more than one lightsource per system

Actually you can work around it with particle effects. While doing this is not currently on my release or post release list of work for the team, it might be a neat thing to see in game. So we will see about putting it in game.

You could just make a planet that is a star in every other way and put two of them in the system. If I recall correctly, Distant Stars did this.

The two ways that we would most likely do this would either with a custom mesh for the star or via particle effects. Because if we were to add another "star" it would not appear right visually, because sins only supports one light source per system. In order to make the shadows look appropriate particularly after update 1.80 we would have to make it look like all of the light in the system is coming from the custom "star type'.

Awfully hateful comments. :D
Don't forget that they are only driven by their religion and the lies of their leaders. Those civilians are all innocent.

Yes, both sides did plenty of killing, but even during a war one must not forget kindness.
Do your duty as a soldier, but do not become a monster.

Ok you got there. But I still think if it is the good Elites I would stay my bombardment, if not then they best surrender lest they want to be sent on a different Grand Journey.

The only ones of theirs we killed weren't ever innocent, they were all the soldiers that were trying to make us literally extinct.

They killed 30 Billion humans over the course of 28 years, that includes civilian and military.

That is literally over 1 Billion humans a year on average, most of which were trapped civilians on glassed planets.

The Hinge heads have earned it.

You humans always seem to forget that millions of our own were killed by the Prophets betrayal. The Sangheili people were manipulated by one race for thousands of years and now the human upstarts wish to eradicate what is left of our culture.

"that millions of our own were killed by the Prophets betrayal."

Notice, millions are much smaller than billions.

"Thousands of years later, they were visited by Forerunner Automations and left with mysterious relics."

Just to clarify, the Shangheili were abducted by the Forerunners during the Forerunner-Flood War, and then the few specimens were returned after the firing of the Halo Array to rebuild their culture and civilization from scratch.. The Forerunners also didn't leave the artifacts. They died.(I mean, a number survived, but they exiled themselves.)

Description

In the Ur trinary star system, on red tinted planet called Sanghelios, a species of reptile-like predators began forming permanent settlements and developing a culture. Thousands of years later, they were visited by Forerunner Automations and left with mysterious relics. Centuries after that encounter, they meet an alien race called the San 'Shyuum. After a brutal war with the alien life, the Sangheili formed an alliance with the San 'Shyuum and were the founding races of the Covenant.
